Our hiring process.
Here's how we do it
Short Virtual Chats
You will typically have a number of shorter conversations on a video call with one our recruiters and/or the hiring manager. During these conversations we may cover a number of topics but in essence the key objectives for us are:
- to make that you have a complete understanding of the role we are looking to hire for.
- for you understand who we are as a company, how we help our customers, how we operate and what it’s like to work with us.
- assess you have the key skills and experience for the role.
- make sure you understand our overall compensation structure (pay, benefits etc).
Before moving to the next stage of the hiring process, we want to ensure there is strong ‘synergy’ between the role we are hiring for and both your past experiences and what you are looking for in your near time career path.
Online assessment
You may be asked to do a brief online assessment, it’s a personality test which helps us assess your personality traits (e.g. detailed orientated, persuasiveness) that can be helpful in the hiring process for us to early on understand things like your communication style, motivators and work preferences. We understand there are drawbacks so we only use it to inform the hiring process rather than make specific a binary decision over the suitability of the candidate.
In-depth interviews
We have strong belief in the change that people can effect in an organisation. Regardless of background or experience, we want to make sure that your skills are a strong match for the role. You will be asked to meet with the hiring manager, domain experts and possibly peers from the hiring team either for in person interview or on a video call.
During this stage of the hiring process we are focused on understanding more about your skills, role specific experience by focus on open ended and structured questions.
Practical assessments
For some roles we ask candidates to complete a small practical project prior subsequent to an in-depth interview. These are often role specific where it’s appropriate for us to dig a little deeper into your skills. This could include a short coding exercise or preparing a small presentation. We understand that investment is required from candidates and will ensure that you are given plenty of time to prepare.
Decision
Once the interview process is complete a collective decision is made. If we believe that you are the best candidate for the role our recruiter will reach out to you with a written offer. If we have made the decision not to offer or move you to the next stage of the hiring our recruiter will also reach out to let you know. We are committed to giving all candidates honest and foresight feedback, so if we made the decision not to offer you the role you should expect to find out why.
